A self-taught artist, Boukje Wijkman has attended a wide variety of workshops over the years, exploring and experimenting with many different materials.

Inspiration
Her own imagination is her greatest source of inspiration, which she translates into art through a variety of techniques. At present, she is particularly drawn to working with epoxy, often combining it with colourful plexiglas shapes to create vibrant, imaginative works. In particular, creating eggs brings her great joy.
